Registration
Do I need to create a danceplace account in order to register? Yes. You have already done this if you have registered for events like Camp Hollywood or California Balboa Classic.
What is the deadline for pass transfers? February 15th, 2025
It is after the cancelation & refund and transfer dates, but an unexpected circumstance has prevented me from attending the event. What should I do? Email us at [email protected]. These requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We cannot guarantee an ideal outcome. If you notify us the week of, or during the event, expect a delayed response.
Can I upgrade my pass? Yes. Email us at [email protected] with the titles of your original pass and your desired upgrade. We'll update your registration, and you will pay the difference between the two passes. Downgrading passes is not an option.
Will a la carte options be available? TBD. See our Pricing page for information.
Can I update my registration? Please email us [email protected] if you need to modify your class or contest registration. We will make changes for you and issue you updated tickets.
I did not receive my confirmation email and registration link. What should I do? First, check your spam filter. Failing that, email us at [email protected].
How do I register for classes in Lindy Hop? A full-weekend pass grants access to all Lindy Hop classes. Leveling for Lindy Hop classes is done via the honor system.
Dance Classes
How do I schedule a private lesson? Contact the instructor(s) you want a private lesson with directly. Most can be contacted via Facebook. If Facebook is not an option for you, email us at [email protected].
Can I offer private lessons? We have extremely limited space at our venues, and private lesson space is reserved for instructors on staff. If you are approached for a private lesson, please check with us first to confirm space is available.
How do I choose the right class level for me? Check our Dance Classes page for level info. If you are unsure, we recommend asking your peers or your local instructors for feedback.
Competitions
Can I enter the Mix & Match in my primary role and secondary role? Yes.
What if I make finals in both roles? If you make finals in both roles in the same competition, you will be asked to choose your role for the finals. This is to ensure a fair and excellent experience for all dancers in the finals.
Are strictly competitions paid for by both partners or just one? Just one. If you want to split the cost with your partner, you two will need to handle that privately.
Can my non-dancer relative/friend watch me compete or perform? Yes! We are happy to have them as spectators. Email us at [email protected].
When is the schedule coming out? As soon as we can get it out!
Will there be vendors this year? Maybe. Stay tuned!
Will you do the consignment shop this year? Yes!
